The Ghana National Housing Project (GNHP)
The Ghana National Housing Project is a significant initiative under Ghana’s Affordable Housing Initiative, aimed at addressing the country’s housing needs. Launched on January 27, 2011, the project involves the construction of 200,000 housing units for both the public and private sectors. Under agreements signed between Pan African Developers Ltd and the Government of Ghana (GoG), the government through a parliamentary approval, entered into an off-taker agreement to acquire 90,000 units (45%) for institutional accommodation. The remaining 110,000 units (55%) will be developed through an SPV with the government of Ghana represented by Republic Bank Ghana for private sector participation.
